Join Senior Peak Pilates MI Courtney Weis for a 2-hour Pilates workshop where the only prop you need is a sturdy chair! Learn how to build strength, improve balance, and move with confidence using everyday support. Perfect for all levels—no Pilates equipment required.
Objectives:
-Build Strength & Stability – Use the chair for seated, supported, and standing exercises that strengthen the core, legs, and postural muscles.
-Enhance Balance & Confidence – Explore safe progressions that improve coordination, stability, and functional movement for everyday life.
-Increase Flexibility & Mobility – Incorporate dynamic stretches and flowing sequences with the chair to release tension and improve range of motion.
Why should an instructor take this session? This continuing education session introduces Pilates variations and adaptations using a sturdy chair as a prop. Designed to support clients with stability and mobility challenges, it offers safe, effective movement for:
· Seniors
· Overweight clients
· Anyone with difficulty getting down to (or up from) the mat
Participants will explore strategies to enhance strength, balance, posture, and independence, while learning how to deliver engaging, chair-based Pilates classes.
