Pilates for the De-Conditioned with Jolie Becker
Think outside the box… assisting the de-conditioned client with ideas for progressing slowly toward Pilates exercises. Sometimes the most
broken-down building block of an exercise is not enough, and a de-conditioned client needs something between fundamentals and
Pilates exercises. Breaking down an exercise and thinking about what strength is needed to perform that exercise is part of developing an
eye and understanding progression. Using props is also an amazing way to assist your clients. There will be time at the end for Q&A:
If you have a de-conditioned client or a client you are stuck on what to do next to help them progress, bring your questions and let us brainstorm.
Objectives:
1. Work through a variety of ways to help begin a deconditioned client.
2. Look at basic exercises and figure out which of the 4 S’s needs improvement in order to work toward the goal of the exercise.
3. Help build strength through successive steps.
Why should I take this session?
This course will help you gain understanding of how to progress a deconditioned client. We will look at using shapes in space, changing an exercise relationship to gravity to help work toward the ideal goal of an exercise.
Learn to use props and other fitness exercises to help build strength, stretch, stability and stamina in your deconditioned client.
Equipment Needed: A full studio will be used, but not necessary to have to observe this course. A mat would be great to try some exercises and review fundamentals.

Cancellation Policy:
No refunds will be issued. If you are not able to attend, you will have access to the recording for 60 days after the virtual session.
